We dis­cuss when it makes sense to broach the con­ver­sa­tion about mov­ing them to some­thing more mod­ern, and how to couch it in terms of ben­e­fits to the client. Secu­ri­ty, new fea­tures, a site refresh in terms of func­tion­al­i­ty or appear­ance; these all fac­tor in.

We also dis­cuss when it makes sense to focus on for­ward-think­ing work, and con­tract­ing out lega­cy main­te­nance or just plain let­ting the client know it may not be a good fit anymore.
